Agatha enjoys a delightful climate all year round, and because of its location, the mercury never drops below 10°C even on a cold winter's night. Summer temperatures in the day seldom exceed 30°C. Being in a summer rainfall area, April to October is cool and very dry. Agatha was originally established in 1888 as its altitude of 1100m (3670ft) ensures a malaria free environment.
